This course allows students to develop skills and techniques and an understanding of watercolour. Learn traditional and experimental watercolour techniques while working from a range of of direct observations, photographic references, sketches, and your own imagination.
You will encounter a variety of stimulating subject as landscape, still life, natural forms, etc. Reference will also be made to the work of other artists as appropriate.
By the end of the course you should be able to work from a variety of subject matters, Make drawings as studies for paintings and to explore and establish compositions, Mix colours using basic colour theory, Use a range of water based painting techniques, e.g. washes, glazes, dry brush, wet in wet, etc...
